There are a few explanations for why Cybill looks the way she does, and they all involve plastic surgery unfortunately.
It would be hard to say what were the reasons behind her decision to have work done on her face, but it has become pretty clear that she did in fact go under the knife at some point recently.
Celebrity watchers have been saying for quite a while now that Cybill Shepherd had Botox injections repeatedly in recent years. Furthermore, they say she also had a facelift, a brow lift, and dermal fillers as well.
We don’t know how true the other allegations are, but the Botox injections seem quite obvious really. The fact that her lower half of the face is saggy yet frozen tells us that she had Botox injected into her face at least once.
If we are to compare recent pictures of Cybill Shepherd with pictures of her younger self, we see that her appearance changed considerably over the years. We wouldn’t expect a woman her age to retain the natural good looks that made her famous to begin with, but we wouldn’t expect her face to be saggy either.

This might just be one of those examples of old celebrities who have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that their good looks are going away for good.
It has to be said that Cybill Shepherd didn’t have any major roles in recent years, so any procedure she had done was entirely for aesthetic reasons.
We would have preferred it if Cybill Shepherd aged gracefully, the way her ‘Moonlighting’ partner Bruce Willis did.
It will be interesting to see if Cybill decides to have further cosmetic surgeries in the near future, or if her alleged Botox injections were a one-time thing.
