[ads1 id=”alignright”]Everyone who grew up while watching the 80’s sci-fi TV series The X-Files, and all those who have watched it in recent years, probably knows who Gillian Anderson is.
Even modern television viewers may have noticed that she appeared in NBC’s Hannibal, looking a bit aged and more mature that she had last been spotted on the TV screen.
However, even though the 45 year actress’s face showed some signs of aging, there have been rumors in the past of her having gone under the knife.
Gillian was not in the spotlight very much back when she had just crossed forty. However, whenever she did make a public appearance, she was looking far too good for her age. The thing that is odd about Gillian looking so youthful despite being a forty year old woman is that unlike other Hollywood actresses, it does not appear that she may have turned to plastic surgery.
It does not seem like Gillian may have gone under the knife. Is she had, perhaps it could be assumed that she may have a nose job way before she started acting. Then again, considering how smooth her skin despite her age, perhaps she takes advantage of lasers like ActiveFX or Fraxel.
However, it is quite obvious that she has not gone overboard with invasive plastic surgery procedures, since her appearance in Hannibal did make it apparent that she has indeed aged quite a bit.
However, when Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a Miami-based plastic surgeon, had taken a look at Gillian a few years back, it led him to believe that she probably uses Botox and may have also undergone rhinoplasty at that point. He believes that the reason behind Gillian’s “healthy” and “youthful” looking skin is also because of good skin care.
Similarly, Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a California-based plastic surgeon, also suspects Gillian Anderson may have taken advantage of Botox and dermal facial fillers. At the same time, he also admits that her appearance is not “overdone,” but “natural.”
However, even Dr. David Shafer, a Manhattan-based plastic surgeon, agrees that even if Gillian has had any minimal invasive plastic surgery, she still “looks good.”
