[ads1 id=”alignright”]There isn’t a lot we can say about Sport Illustrated’s main girl Kate Upton that hasn’t been said already.

The gorgeous blonde is widely considered one of the sexiest women alive, and with a body like that, who can argue? Kate has been blessed with the figure of a goddess, but genetics alone aren’t enough to maintain it.

In order to keep herself in the best shape possible, Kate follows a very rigorous diet plan and workout routine. This is common among models, especially swimsuit ones.

First of all, it has to be said that Kate started working with celebrity trainer David Kirsch in 2012, and he had some pretty neat ideas concerning her diet plan. She also exercised six days a week, two sessions each day. The focus of these exercises was on legs, inner thighs, hips, abs, butt, and arms. The routine combined camp circuit training and cardio to get the best results possible. It’s kind of funny to think that almost a year worth of working out had to be endured just so she’ll look great during the two hours photo shoot she did in the summer of 2013.

Kate follows the ‘Blood Type Diet‘ apparently, a diet designed according to a person’s blood type. The main focus of this diet is to help an individual digest food better, a diet that Kate herself has praised on several occasions. Furthermore, Kate cannot afford ‘cheat days’ like many other celebrities usually do, and it makes sense considering how high her standards are. She basically followed the ABC’s of all proper dieting – no processed carbs, no sugar, no bread, and no alcohol. Kate isn’t some athlete who can ‘make up’ for any losses caused by improper dieting because her body is expected to retain fat in certain places. This is why a proper diet is so important.

She also followed her trainer’s seven-day cleanse program, which consists of two day liquid diet and a four days liquid diet with light food. During this program she constantly drank green drinks and protein shakes to retain energy while maintaining body weight. Even so, Kate says that she sometimes enjoys ice-cream, cupcakes, and French fries a bit too much. Then again, she affords the occasional splurge, especially when she’s not getting ready for a photo shoot.
