The 32-year professional mixed martial artist, Gina Carano, is probably one girl no one would want to mess with.

Apart from her MMA career, Gina Carano recently became the centre of attention in Hollywood after starring in Haywire against Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender 2011, and in Fast & Furious 6 in 2013.

It is not a secret that Gina Carano has such a physique that it would make even “Wonder Woman” envious and jealous. Of course, she is a martial artist and she works out, but it cannot be denied that her diet plan has also played a part in contributing to her muscular physique.

Although the explicit details of her diet plan remain unknown, Gina Carano has revealed various tidbits about what her typical diet consists of in several different interviews.

Martial Arts Help

Gina Carano claims that she works out every day; she does Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai. According to her, the different phases of training that she undergoes on a regular basis often make her realize how “brutal” her routine really is.

She even admits that she sometimes finds her workout routine quite “ridiculous” and she even laughs out when thinking about it. At time, she still enjoys working out once she gets focused enough, usually after pulling together and getting a second wind. However, that is not all.

Fairly Regular Diet

More than often, Gina Carano has been asked what food she consumes as fuel to keep the punching and kicking going. In terms of her diet, Gina Carano has admitted that it was a long road that she had to take to get to where she is today, but she also adds that her relationship with food has always been a healthy one. However, she has also added that she “just normal” when it comes to her diet. She has mentioned that figuring out how the body responds to different foods involves various ups and downs.

According to her, this is the reason people tend to cheat at times, such as eating some pasta even when they should not. She is apparently against putting excessive rules on oneself when it comes to one’s diet, because according to her, it is counterproductive and people easily get bored of it.

Diet not what it used to be

Gina Carano has even referred to herself as an extremist in terms of her diet during her earlier days, while she claims that she now keeps her diet under control as of lately. According to her, there should be a balance between being super strict and having days off.
