1. The man with the Spider-Plan
Although he did a fantastic job as Harry Osborn in ‘Spider-Man’, few people know that he originally planned to audition for the main role of Peter Parker. It was only after that position got filled that he settled for Harry Osborn.
2. Smoking hot
James is held in high regard for his portrayal of James Dean, a role he did all so well. A little known fact is that James started smoking around two packs on cigarettes a day while preparing the role. He eventually quit after the movie’s premiere.
3. He’s a cinephile
James isn’t just a great actor but an avid fan of cinematography as well. His all-time favorite movie is ‘My Own Private Idaho‘ and says that he wishes to be a movie director someday.
4. A family of artists
Little known fact, James isn’t the only actor in his family. His younger brother Dave was actually a filming partner to James in the ‘Funny or Die‘ series. James is, however, the more successful of the two brothers.
5. A young thief
A long time ago, when he was just a teenager, James used to steal aftershaves and expensive perfumes so he could later sell them for a profit. Ironically, after he became a celebrity, James had more than a few endorsements for men products like cologne and aftershave.
6. Young genius
Despite the fact that he dropped out of University to pursue his acting career, James was always a bright mind in his younger years. He recently went back to get a PhD from Yale.
7. A true star
Not long ago, in 2013, James was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He was also rated as Hollywood’s Most Handsome Actor in 2009, an achievement he holds dearly.
